A power surge entering the home or place of business due to a lightning strike could ultimately destroy or seriously damage the technology we’ve come to depend on every day in our personal and professional lives, leading to significant downtime and costly repairs.
At Lightning Master Corporation (LMC) we “wrote the book” on surge protection. LMC is unmatched in the Surge Protection Device (SPD) Industry. Our SPD’s provide the lowest impedance for maximum protection to our customer’s valued equipment. Our line of equipment has been designed for everything from industrial use to the residential user in mind. It provides surge and transient protection in the harshest environments.

We offer a full line of suppressors ranging from 120V- 4160V. These units were designed and are manufactured on LMC Facility and are listed to UL 1449, 3rd Edition.
Low Voltage – 120V-600VAC
- Install directly at a disconnect or sub-distribution panel
- Modular – once wired in, individual modules may be changed without re-wiring.
- Only 2 units – one type covers 120V-240V, and a second covers 240V-480V. A third module covers high-leg services.
Medium Voltage – 660V – 4160 VAC
- Designed to protect medium voltage equipment, particularly motors
- Robust, yet compact design
Lightning Master offers hard-wired, DIN rail, and in-conduit models from 6V – 120 VDC. Our models are competitively priced and readily available. All models may be custom-designed for different voltages on different terminals, according to customer specifications.
Load Cell Protectors
When we first entered the batch process industry, we were un-impressed with the technology used in load cell surge suppressors. LMC decided to start designing our own load cells due to this inadequate technology. Our designs include using geometric traces to increase the impedance through the device to the load under protection and present a lower impedance through the surge suppression components. We protect a total of ‘8’ wires instead of the normal ‘4’ (which are 2 input and 2 output), providing backup traces in the event the in-use traces are damaged.
